Tennis

The venerable grass courts that once attracted the likes of Chris Evert are now clay, but still in the same location just a volley from the Hudson River.

The Hartru courts, nine in total, are maintained to the highest standard.

What really brings members out in large numbers is a tennis program developed by Head Racquets Pro John Cassas. An ambitious schedule keeps players of all skill levels active and happy throughout the season. Men and women, boys and girls, compete in singles, doubles, mixed, junior, senior, team, parent-child, round robin, twilight, and inter-league play. There are tennis clinics as well for all ages, plus individual, group, and team instruction by John and his assistants.

Great fun and lively competition is to be had by members and guests at Member-Guest and Twilight matches. Best of all is the casual, close-knit environment so conducive to social activities following play -- the Mixed Twilight is followed by a barbeque; the Parent Child Tournament serves up pizza (of course). New friendships are formed that can last a lifetime. Come join us. Team members are always on the look-out for a new players. And John is always there to help.
